Daniel McLennan – Director
Daniel McLennan has been hairdressing for 28 years. He recently opened One Room salon and is a freelance hairstylist and make-up artist in Sydney, Australia and Maui, USA. Daniel’s work is diverse and his skills are constantly called upon for high-profile events and private clients throughout Australia and Hawaii. He has worked on the annual Pay TV ASTRA Awards, at Australian Fashion Week for top designers and on awards events for Marie Claire magazine. Daniel regularly styles photo shoots for publications such as Who, TV Week, Oyster, Sky, Cream, Pure, Remix and The Daily Telegraph and his TV work includes hair makeovers on the Today Show. During Daniel’s career he has created four highly successful salons in Sydney and in the UK, where he also specialised in theatre, TV, movies and the music industry.
His acclaimed UK ventures include Studio 34 at the Albury Theatre in Leicester Square, which he ran from 1993–1999. He worked closely with Deconstruction and Fresh record labels and was the swing wig master for most of the West End theatre productions, looking after such stars as Kylie Minogue, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Joan Collins, Debbie Gibson, Petula Clark, Maggie Smith, Craig McLachlan and super model Helena Christensen.
Daniel brings his experience and expertise to his latest venture, One Room, where he and his team combine an indulgent experience with creating the perfect look for you.
Jennifer Barker – Creative Senior Stylist
Having worked in the hair industry for over 30 years, Jennifer prides herself on her passion for hair.
Jennifer has undergone training in the United Kingdom and Australia and has been recognised as an Industry professional with City and Guilds Certificates I, II, III, and IV. She Is also a Salon Educator.
Having owned 2 successful salons in the UK and Bondi, Her Sydney salon serviced many prolific clients from Home and Away cast to Sydney’s elite business sector. Tim “The Bachelor” Robards being her favourite celebrity client.
Jennifer specializes In Bridal/formal styling, cutting and colour. She has completed courses with Tigi, Sebastian, Matrix, Keune, Wella and L’oreal. Her moto Is “you never stop learning In the hair industry”. She Is also qualified In Indian heads massage.
Having extensive product knowledge, If you have a Hair issue, Jennifer will solve it.
